Yeah. Very cool. Not sure I can use it with this plate. I have a big industrial vac pump system with taps around the shop. But that thing is cool. You build that?
@brian_alley jup. Have that at work but i need it for the garage/car. Not bad for spills or to suck the oil or coolant right out of the engine ^^
Sweet. Is it your design and build? Or commercial product. It looks very good @VolksTrieb
The thing ive made is my own design and build its only the venturi principle. So theres no real patent
@VolksTrieb your little drum vacuumizer sucks. (pun)
That’s really cool.
i dont think
@VolksTrieb weird. Your post with your device in it disappeared.
Yeah that’s weird. It’s gone.
But in other news, tested the plate today. Don’t get a chance to cut anything, but initial test for holding power. Piece of construction paper laid on it, pulling paper results in it tearing. Only way to get it up is Peeling it from a corner
Cool, @brian_alley
I’m hold off just a bit before uploading the file. Looks like I have a commercial sale for at least a few of these.
Finally some did something I was thinking about doing. Before I had to do the work. Also, double as a lapping plate
Hello
@George_Robles_George I wouldn’t lap things on it. It’s plastic. I have a big cast iron plate I made years ago, with circular grooves, ground dead flat. Lapping powder and 30wt oil on it works great. I use it for over 15 yrs now to lap parts that go together, hold hydraulic pressure to 4000psi, with no seal between pieces, just dead flat metal to metal seal
