@Kelly_Burns I assume you have grbl-lpc working now? Does the engraving look like the sample I posted?
Yes, I switched to grbl-lpc for the 2nd time. With your assistance is much better. Still not as good as original Moshi raster engraving, but decent. I think the remaining issues are due to physical problems with my machine. I removed the belt from X axis and the carriage is extremely tight. I don’t seem to be missing steps, but it definitely doesn’t seem correct.
@Kelly_Burns my carriage runs pretty smooth. The reliable speed limit on my k40 seems to be about 300mm/sec. however I didn’t properly set the current pots for maximum stepper motor current when I installed the c3d board. Higher current will get more speed but I’m happy where it is now.
I looked at my grbl settings and I have the max speed set to 250mm/sec.
