@Carlton_Dodd how are you going to deal with notifications? and will the note 2 fit the bottom plate? the refrence is the iphone 6 which is smaller then the note2

Note2 will not have any unnecessary apps installed, so, no notifications. I don’t know about the screen size, but I doubt the makers would exclude the current high-end phones, which are as large, or larger.
@Carlton_Dodd my original note was stripped bare of any unneeded apps. and i still get notifications. shoot i even cooked the rom. some notifications are impossible to turn off.

no. i just live an an area that utilizes the emergency alert system properly.

Utilizing the emergency alert system requires a cellular connection, which is disabled in Airplane mode. Also, this is a left-over phone from when I upgraded; no cell connection.
@Carlton_Dodd might possibly be the case. but i know i have recived alerts with no sim in my note original i use as a streaming device only. the other issue is life of the panel. i can honestly say the panel on my note original is not even close to as bright as it used to be. only time will tell. but i still think this is nothing but vapor
