@NathanielStenzel Nope, I was doing something else while CNC was probing and just got the ‘smell it’ surprise.
@Frank_Graffagnino Just as @raykholo said, same gShield can be used:
- on top of ArduinoDue (known as TinyG2, so use http://chilipeppr.com/tinyg workspace)
- on top of Arduino Uno and grbl
I plan to test ArduinoDue and external drivers (no gShield or other shield) and use it with tinyg workspace.
@NathanielStenzel Interesting story: I was hand assembling PCBs today and noticed that the resistors on the reel aren’t facing the same way on the reel. So, some numbering is 180 degrees rotated from other numbering. Since the TinyG boards are assembled on a pick n place, which just lifts the components, rotates a fixed amount, and sets them down on the board, well, that’s that. It’s not carelessness or lack of attention to detail, it’s the manufacturer of the resistors not wasting time on “correctly” orienting a non-polarized component and neither should we.
@raykholo ah. Thanks for the info. I am surprised that the resistors are on on the reels in the sam orientation. Not like it matters, but it is interesting from an obsessive compulsive asthetics point of view.
