@Tim_Rastall Do you have links to any of these multi extruders you were referencing and do you have some sort of blog that talks about your experience building this printer? It sounds super cool and I’d love to read about it if you are discussing it publicly.
@Stephen_Jensen a lot of the progress has been documented on G+ but there is also a thread on the Reprap forums (link below). I’ve actually promised to not disclose any specifics regarding the quad nozzle yet, if all goes well I’ll get to trial an alpha version in the not to distant. As soon as I get it, I’ll be posting about it. In the mean time, I need to get 4 extruders built! http://forums.reprap.org/read.php?279,222917
@Matt_Kraemer1 you sure that’s not just the digital servos. I remember busting open a hobby servo, and there was nothing but analog components. Albeit it was over 20 years ago…
Yeah, after I thought about it, those servos were part of a car that I got as a birthday present close to 30 years ago, I’m sure they are antiques now
There are both analogue and slightly more expensive digital servos. But why you’d want to run one off a pot I have no idea! I’ve seen servo testers but they all had a small microcontroller generating pwm, possibly to be compatible with digital servos though…
Again, these were 30 year old servos, perhaps MCUs weren’t nearly so cheap
I knew I wasn’t crazy:
Read the section on connection. Just as I thought
