Edit: links gone. Stay tuned. Afternoon all.

@Brandon_Satterfield I realize this dust boot now appears to be an abandoned product, but FYI, when I tried to put it on, I realized the M5x65mm bolts that are already on the Ox Z-gantry are not long enough to accommodate the additional width of the acrylic (~12mm) on this dust boot. It looks like it will require four M5x75mm screws, which are not available on your site (the longest seems to be the M5x65mm, same as what are currently on my Ox).

@SirGeekALot I thought the same thing as you at first but the screws are long enough. You don’t need the nuts anymore because the acrylic is threaded. Feed the screw from the back of the gantry so the acrylic acts as the nut

@SirGeekALot here’s a pic

@Michael_Forte Oh good! I’ll have to give that a try! I was having a devil of a time trying to find good M5x75mm low profile bolts. Thanks! :grinning:

Installed!!!

Excellent! You may notice some slop in the boot. See the last picture I posted where I put rubber washers between the two pieces of acrylic. You may want to do something similar as it removes most of the play in the boot with weight from a vacuum hose applied.

Out of curiosity what was the other boot that this design appears to be too similar to? I did buy this boot and I’m glad I did because it works great. I did have to offset my spindle clamp from the Zaxis plat because it was too close and the spindle did not align up with the boot spindle hole like James Rivera did above.
