Has anyone tried the AZSMZ Mini?

@Rien_Stouten no need to recompile. The firmware settings are saved in a simple text file. You can either edit the file on the SD card with a PC or use M/G commands to manipulate the values and save. It’s streets ahead of the 8 bit electronics in terms of friendliness. The same goes for smoothie based boards.

@David_Martin
That sir, sounds wonderfull. Maybe I should try it out.

@David_Martin Sorry to bump an old thread.
I’m trying to get my AZSMZ mini board working, once firmware installed and motors connected, I could only move X and Y. However, Z never moves although the motor gets power and held in place. Do you have an idea on this? Thanks.

@Ruwan_Janapriya Is this for a delta printer? If so have you set the config.txt file appropriately?

I’m going to use this for a delta printer. I’ve installed firmware.bin from smoothieware github. Then I have used the delta config file provided by the seller. I also checked, with the best of my knowledge whether I’ve set the config.txt file is set properly. Looks like it.

Can you try swapping the X and Z stepper driver and see if the problem moves? You could also swap the X and Z motor wires and do the same. One thing at a time.

Yes, that is the first thing I tried. When I swapped X-Z drivers, problem was still there (X works, Z doesn’t). Also when I tried motors, got same results.

If I understand correctly, for delta configuration, if I change X value through pronterface (or Repetier host), all 3 motors should change. In my case only first 2 motors change (X, Y motors).

Can you put your config file on pastebin or similar? I’m going out for the morning but I’m sure someone can help you.

Many thanks @David_Martin
here it is: http://pastebin.com/jyyTHywS

I’ll take a proper look later. You could try swapping all the extruder motor pin assignments for the Z motor ones and then swap the Z and E wiring. That should rule out a board problem

Oh I will definitely try that. thanks again.

@David_Martin that was a great suggestion. I wasted almost 3 days thinking I’m doing something wrong. Once I swapped as you’ve instructed the third motor is moving. Now I’m certain the board is faulty.
