ops. it’s quite different. for one, it’s got multiple cores. a new programming paradigm that will simplify programming itself. we are working on the interface as well, to make things cleaner.
@Swee_Ann_Teo Please, do you have any expected availability date?
it’s gonna be soon but limited numbers. i think we need to have the lottery and put it out int the wild asap. there are 3 batches. a batch of 10 for toolchains and SDK (end of oct), a batch of 50 for lottery winners and 200 for all the rest of those who subscribed. (2016 Jan)
Very exciting…
Is the new chip going to be breadboard friendly?
we have a breadboard friendly version but it’s awfully big; we have integrated all these components into the chip, the module could have been made smaller, if it’s not breadboard friendly. expect a couple of versions that are also not breadboard friendly besides that friendly one.
are there more gpios? analog ports?
Hello,
Only two Questions:
- The new chip will run Apple Homekit?
- The new chip will run Google Weave?
Thank you.
Hi Swee Ann,
could you please give some details about the peripheral HW? proper ADC, additional timers/PWM?
Apart from speed and memory, the first tweet about the new device mentioned the addition of BTLE. Still there?
The new architecture also mean proper jtag debugging capabilities?
thanks
yes. yes. yes. TRAX compressor & buffers.
Curious about packages. I understand they are probably not finalized but what flavor scan we expect for antenna connectivity? I’d love to add a pa to this for drone flying. Also with the addition of btle will there be multiple antennas or the use of a switch along with single antenna / pa?
