I used a TXS0108E SPI-I2C-UART as levelshifter but it does not make it better.
Still got random white flashes after 5 strips. and i want them to dissapear before i go any further.
@Jeroen_van_Dorsten random flashes can come from different sources
If your strips are far from the board you should twist the data with the Braun’s wire to shield from interference
According to the datasheet the lvc should work.
Which version of the Fastled library are you using ?
@Yves_BAZIN the strips are connected 20 cm from the board.

@Yves_BAZIN it’s exactly the same code. The only thing i changed is the size of the matrix. Mine is 300 x 16 x 1 instead of 64 x 64 x 16
The wiring i used to power the leds was to thin… now i’ll change it to 2.5mm wire i stead of 1 mm wire.
Had a small disapearance act last night… some cables went up in smoke 
The data wires are cat6 . Still twisted but outside the outer shell.
When i get home ill take a screenshot of the matrix size what adjusted.

yes indeed be careful with the power wiring. I think the use of the level shifter will remove the load on the mcu and then remove the last artifacts
Wiring is a bitch…
When you are done with power and you still need to power the strips… and… data…
