Hey Guys... Like I said,

yep! I’ll do that and post here! thanks for the ice a Dat! :wink:

Anytime, virtual high five to another printrbot owner.

I mechanically adjusted the print head height (adjusted sensor) as Aaron suggested but also added the process of offsetting Z with a negative # (in small steps). Adjust Z offset, print, abort, adjust, print, abort, etc.
That did the trick.

Prior to doing this, I placed a two layer lattice of blue 3M painter’s tape from HD on the bed (on top of kapton).

I small wipe with isopropanol prior prints and no problem with adhesion.

I am running PLA at 200C with a heated bed of 70C. Single extruder.

From other threads with those with dual extruders, the sensor looks different.
It appears several people are having problems with the z-sensor being securely attached.

In that case, solve that problem first before attempting a print, otherwise you’ll damage something.

@Chester_Knurek_Chet
Chester! Thanks for the explanation! I’d change the temp on the heated bed to 200 and the PLA at 200C… I’m going to add the blue tape next… One of the biggest problems I’m having is the instructions they post on the printrbot site are all in MAC, and I’m using WIN 7… so it makes it a little more complicated to follow the calibration steps, cuz I dont see what they show, eve tho I’m using repetier… U know what I’m saying?

@Chester_Knurek_Chet
isopropanol?? is this alcohol??

Heated bed to 200? Are you sure? That is insanely high.

@Dat_Chu
ups! my bad… I meant 70 and my PLA at 200C

From this pix, it looks like the problem is within the hot end. Try

  1. Set the extruder temp to 200
  2. Remove all filament by pulling from the top
  3. use the small allen key they give you and push it into the extruder to push the remaining filament out the head at the bottom.
  4. Put back the filament and test extruding approximately 100mm of filament.

@Dat_Chu how do you extrude? Is there a button within repetier?

Yes, there is that button with the arrows pointing down. http://www.repetier.com/w/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/manualpanel.png

The one on the right hand side there with the gear and some tube. Click the downward one.

@Dat_Chu got it! :wink:

Yes rubbing alcohol

@javierymirna got the new video?
