To use the due you need to use an IDE before 1.5.7 - that works fine (it is what I was using to develop/drive Locus with ~3k leds being run from a due). Arduino 1.5.7 changed the compiler version to one that is introducing problems with the library that I haven’t had a chance to fix yet.
