If you use cLEDMatrix it will declare the led array for you so you do not need to have a CRGB leds[NUM_LEDS] as in most FastLED examples. I have not used an Uno, but 2K of ram is very limited.
For displaying logo/picture you should look at the LEDSprite examples.
