@Greg_Copeland this one? I didn’t delete any. Never do. Had the same issue earlier when I tried to reply this morning. missing/deleted image from Google+
Arg. Okay, will write it up again. Just wanted to make sure I wasn’t stepping on toes.
Thanks.
@Griffin_Paquette The budget category can be a tough nut to crack once you look at what’s already there.
The sbase mks 1.3 board is smoothieware compatible and does have the extra driver. This can be slow boated for $75, delivered, which includes a touch screen display and cables. It also provides extra gpios (example, out of filament), 3.3/5v onboard, and endstops, and two temp sockets (iirc). It can also drive more amps (1.4A?), and comes with heat sinks. With some active cooling, it’s a no-sweat. A preference or a recommendation for this board is a different issue. Regardless, it is considered the budget buy smoothie option.
Granted, your drivers are really nice vs 8825 (iirc). Your uC may also be faster. But without the display, making this an apples to apples, you’re demanding a $40 premium for less functionality. I do agree many people won’t want to slow boat. Or, will want to simply support a swell guy like you. After all, those are nice drivers. And quiet…
But… If you can increase your market and become a lot more attractive against what’s already considered the budget buy, wouldn’t you want to?
Someone is deleting posts. Don’t know why. Not cool.
Not sure what’s going on. Haven’t seen any other notifications for new comments in this thread.
I don’t think anyone is deleting posts. Moderators will only delete your posts if you’re spam (and then you’d be banned too) or if you’re arguing with a mod and it’s beginning clutter and detracting from the original post. In that case, we still make it known that we’ve done so.
Anyone who is abusing moderator privileges should not be a moderator. Unfortunately I don’t have good logs of that available to me, so I can’t be certain.
