I am looking at purchasing a 3D printer for an engineering design and entrepreneurship

Seen it in action via there weekly video broadcasts and they have shipped a couple I believe to beta testers and a few more of the kick starter systems are due to go out soon. My production slot is in August.

I got a potential slot for first week of September. Thinking about ordering one for my school.

I ended up ordering an Ultimaker and it has already been shipped. Will probably be printing on Monday

Not really in the same league as the Hyrel3d, but I am sure you will put it to good use.

I might get a Hyrel later when all the kinks have been worked out. They seem to be very fond of engineering and not so fond of testing.

Plus I do not have wait several months.

On my second day with an Ultimaker and I am very impressed. Doing a print at 150 mm/s with 0.06mm layers right now it looks great! Highly recommended!

I have decided to try out the Ultimaker for my class. Do you recommend that I order the NetFabb Engine Basic to go with it?

Great choice! I have had mine for less than a week and I am more than happy with it. Amazing machine. I did not buy the NetFabb Engine as the open source Cura seems to be at least as good from what I have read.
