1250x830 could be the outside measurements and the Y cut area could extend over the front or back maybe

There is no official 1000x1000mm machine from OpenBuilds, but if v-slot extends the y axis of the XLarge to 1000mm, then the usable workspace should be 750x830mm.
In http://openbuildspartstore.com they ship from US or they have branch store in Europe also?
I am also between the c-beam and the 3040 from China …I don’t know
which one is the most rigid … any thoughts?
Those are distributors, they should stock in the EU
@Kostas_Filosofou There are many different 3040 from China. I think the ones with the supported round rails and ball screws should have a bit less play/backlash than the OB machines, but probably are less rigid in overall construction.
@cprezzi That’s what I was confused about… Obviously you can have longer objects as long as their width doesn’t exceed the 900-ish mm the gantry is wide, but to get to 1250839 you’d need to go 15001000?!..
Has anyone here tested Ox with Smoothie? (Just being curious)
@cprezzi Yes i know i have on eye a 3040Z-DQ with ball screws from ebay but i like more the design of the c-beam … and looks more rigid in the photos from the 3040 …but looks… i don’t know if it really is. I think i can change to ball screws in the future to c-beam if only this is issue … But i don’t know if this is really only the issue , it didn’t seems so reliable overall to build a cnc with rubber wheels on aluminium profiles
@CescoAiel there should be no issue running smoothie on an OX. Furthermore OB is working on a new controller based on smoothie
