Same here, except I have to stoop to see through the door of my davinci
Watching my little Simple has become mesmerizing almost to the point of meditative relaxation (when it’s working that is - nothing shatters the meditation quite like a piece letting go of the bed or some other glitch).
All. The. Time.
Taking deep breaths too, I love the smell of the PLA being printed!
@foosel Yah, my printer is still wip: Need to get me a webcam and give OctoPrint a try on it
25 years ago it was the same with two-legged pen plotters. I was working CAD, and I swear people would bring their lunch just to watch the plot.
But it’s so cool!
I have a ip-camera aimed at it, so I can watch it on my phone whenever I feel like. But I still go and take a look at the ‘real’ thing. Some times just after I’ve looked with the phone. Sad, isn’t it.
Many hours spent that way
You need OctoPi with camera
Maybe it will start the solid fill in that one area on the next layer. Ok, maybe it will be the next layer after that, I’ll hang on for a couple minutes to see it change to that part. Maybe it’s still not the next layer, but the Z has to be within a millimeter of when that bridging will start, it shouldn’t be much longer now. Damn, it went for the infill again, still not up to the solid layers.
