I had a 10mm smooth rod which would cause bearings to bind up on because it was over sized, so I’m assuming different priced rods will adhere more strictly (or less strictly) to the stated dimensions.
Replace the battery. I got mine from adendorf and it started doing that with a low batt. Replaced it all fine. There may be an extra one in the box.
