Thanks @AlohaMilton , what material are you worried about scratching/etching, is it mostly about glass? We might even do a specific test of that if it would be interesting for you guys to see?
@AlohaMilton , I tried earlier today to scratch the bed by forcing the nozzle down against the bed so it should be about 1.5 to 2mm into it, and i did not succeed in scratching the glass during my 15min test (i tried to engrave a 3DVerkstan logo into the glass)
Anders Olsson did also try, and he managed to scratch the bed a little when really trying by hand, but then the machine he tried it on has a stiffer bed and do allow the nozzle to tilt a bit more which could make it easier to scratch the glass.
So i would not be too worried about the bed scratching.
Now i am not going to answer any more questions until 2017
Happy new year guys!
LOL awesome I will check that out! I would have guessed that a tilted grounded hotend and some travel and it would scratch glass, I guess not so bad and only in some cases. I don’t think its a problem just a possible outcome of typical user error. printer nozzle should not be touching the bed anyway, especially on a machine one expects to print functional carbon fiber parts on.
Happy New Year!
AWESOME!..GREAT TIP!
(pun intended!)
Ok checked, Certronic nozzle are available for sale. The Could be ordered directly by mail to them (still they don’t have an official reseller) . Single nozzles could be ordered for E3D and MK8 versions for 58+VAT euros each (that means about 71 euros) . Other versions are available on request but just for big quantity order (seems they still are looking for resellers) .
@Gentili_Giuliano
…why not sell on ebay?!
@Fook_INGSOC , I really don’t know. I didn’t ask. I can just assume that their intention is to be only producers and not retail sellers of their own product, but they sell on request some pieces as they alredy have a ready lot and as they still are a kind of startup. By the way Olsson himself doesent sell directly by ebay, but through resellers. You can ask directly to them if you want. Theeir mail is info@certronic.it .
Today we announced new sizes (0.6 and 0.8mm) available now, and upcoming versions of the #olssonruby to fit the Volcano from @E3D-Online and the MOARstruder from @LulzBot .
