Additionally, look at their income brackets. Their gross profit is only in the hundreds of thousands each year. That’s TERRIBLE when you’ve got as much pull as they do.
I stand by my statement that Stratasys has done nothing for the 3D printing movement, and in fact only managed to hold it back 20-30 years.
Personally, I don’t think we need a hike in the minimum wage. I think we need to make the $24K that defines the poverty level to be immune from taxes remove taxes on everything under the sun including the air you breathe, reduce taxes on US manufacturing sites and then add taxes to the 1%. The government is adding taxes on everything that it can think of and it makes it hard for a person to get ahead in life.
@ThantiK SSYS Y/E 2014 gross profit is 362 million, not 362k. In larger financials the numbers in thousands. The reason SSYS isn’t profitable is because they bought Makerbot and had to write it down so quickly after the purchase.
Stock price is based on what investors think a company may be worth or the potential, not necessarily how it performs in it’s respective market. There was a bubble because there was a great deal of hype around consumer printers. Not Reprap or DIY but the equivalent of a TV or microwave in every home. That made about as much sense as saying every home would have a TIG welder.
