Just like any material, if the design suits the material, it will be fine.

I agree with Evila. Acrylic parts would be good to remove fiction of moving parts but it wear capabilities need to be tested.
My printer is made of black acrylic, so far it is going good, but don’t tighten the bolts too much and do regular tighten tests because acrylic is so slippery, that the bolts loosen. If you really need to, you can print out replacements.
Acrylic is not good for frictional moving parts, that is for sure. It is almost sticky, and is not long wearing. Pretty much anything else will work better.
