I'd like to commission a 3D model to be designed and I'm running into

try the different files and different pages, shapeways will give you the answer directly, i do not know about how the others work.

if you are going to do more then one and are going to print it in plastic its almost cheaper to buy a cheap 3d printer.

go http://3dhubs.com thats the cheapest way…

@Rene_Jurack - think your scaling is a bit out… 344mm length. Standarf hammer is about half that… - that’s just dropped into S3D on the FB2020+, frickin’ model’s huage… :stuck_out_tongue:

inch <-> cm :wink:

@Rene_Jurack - Nope that’s just made it worse xD. Always work in metric, just rescaled it from inches to mm and it just got even larger. So size is definitely out.

cm not mm. The model was in inch and got imported as cm… I am european :smiley: Inch is one of the stupid american stuff :wink:

This is magic! Look at these guys go! Send me the model and I’ll send it free :wink: include address. I could do a couple but don’t really want to do 20. It would be cool to be a part of this rapid development story.

Brook … this does feel like magic. Especially after trying so hard to find someone to do it, and it just falls in my lap.

This seems to be the correct size and has the logo. https://github.com/maidenone/phpHammer/blob/master/phpHammer.png

However, I need four of them because there are four developers on the team. I plan to paint them, fix them to a handle, and mount them on plaques with each guys name and the company name on it for Christmas presents this year.

I would need the finished model and I’ll be your print guy for four :wink: just email me the file. Note desired color of pla if it matters.

@Brook_Drumm you are an inspiration to us all.

Stop. I am just one of you guys… I dig this stuff

@Brook_Drumm @Bubba_Hines just tell me if you want any adjustments, i threw it together in a few min. i have a 3d printer my self, so i tried to make it a bit printer friendly. have not tried to print it yet, i suspect the overhang will be hard without support material.

The measurements was just what i thought sounded about right at the time, the dimensions might look strange when its printed.

Also, the FreeCAD i used (0.17) is the latest on git, its a development version with a new way to structure the project file, you can open it with FreeCAD 0.15 or 0.16 but the project structure will look strange.

To my knowledge, I haven’t received the file yet. But ready & willing when I get it :wink:

Indeed! How can I send the file to you? Email address?
