I'm looking to design my own 3D printable files.

I found Sketchup pretty easy to learn.

@Daniel_Bull I agree with Daniel, to learn, 123D is hard to beat and it is always free. You can do a monthly subscription for added features, but works perfectly fine for free. Don’t hold back learning the big programs though, SolidEdge and SolidWorks are the industry standards, and offer features you won’t get anywhere else.

On my third print of the file: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BxWkyuHWaCs5S3dkQzdiTVNNZXc/edit?usp=docslist_api.

@Mark_Rehorst I never thought of doing that. I think the more I get the hang of it the better I’ll get at doing that. And yes, the pieces fit very snug. The OpenBeam 15x15 and the HomeDepot 3/4" fit as they are supposed to.

I got the idea for using the 3/4" extrusions from the Rigidbot build but I wanted to modify it to how I wanted to try building it just slightly differently.

Blender in my mind is the best to start

@Mark_Rehorst Yeah I’ve double checked that the .rsdoc file is there along with the .stl and other pics I put in there before.
