Ok, got a new problem.

Ok thanks. They have one a out 20 miles from here.

Yeah it’s handy. I believe they are carbide. Fair price, buy a few lol. They usually only have one in stock at ag time, so call a day ahead

Nice!!
@Edward_Bigham yeah big end mill for the learning curve bud. 1/8” up cut will be nice.
Try something like
500mm/m travel
.5mm DOC
4mm/m dive
250 Hz (15000 RPM)

These are purely off the top of my head. Trust Mark’s numbers more than mine.

@Brandon_Satterfield Ok Thanks. I am waiting for @Mark_Leino to let me know the settings.

.4 to .5 mm depth of cut, depending how much of a hurry I’m in. Around 1000 mm per minute, depending on how it sounds I go faster and slower. 42mm/minute plunge speed. I would not recommend down cut for aluminum, they are more for laminated pieces, or things you don’t want to chip out the top side.

But for first starting off I would recommend 500mm/min for speed. Things can go haywire really fast and start breaking when your cutting metals. I was just using these speeds last night, I use the same for single and double flute(it’s not correct to do that) but my router runs fast.

@Mark_Leino thank you I will try it later after I get a mill.
