Yes, all my compensations are done only via M212 command after the first, manual setup of probe. (And yes, I tend to forget to do it from time to time.) 
@Adam_Steinmark My sensor is about 0.5mm higher than the nozzle tip. My plate is 4.45 mm, so very close to yours.
I got the Zebra plate to work (finally). It’s all scratched up though, I might need a new one.
