@Neal_Wallace @Marc_Schaefermeyer Quick update: I found some fuses, the amperage was actually on the side of the fuse, but just hard to see, it was a F5A250, the one they had at my local radio shack was F5A125… I just installed it on the speed controller and it’s back the way it use to! Thanks for your help!!!
@javierymirna It’s not a “bad fuse”. The fuse worked perfectly. You overloaded the controller with the larger spindle.
@Len_Sherman you are absolutely right!! Lol
They had posted back in August that they were working on a version of the controller for the higher current spindles. Said they’d have something in a few weeks. That was 6 months ago
I understand that these things happen, but I’m patiently waiting.
@Carl_Fisher Hi Carl! lol yeah, it’s one of those things… I’ll tell what tho, I called Inventables and explained what happen with the spindle being locked, and the speed controller blowing a fuse, not only they offer to send me a replacement spindle, but they even wanted to send me a new speed controller for FREE!!
I’ll be waiting patiently same as you in the mean time i’ll connect my new high speed quite spindle straight to the 48V power supply and start using it…
Thanks!
+Shapeoko Community is the BEST!!
Yeah, they’re a great group from the little bit I’ve dealt with them. Definitely rank up there on customer support.
