@marc_kerger the bearings are very smooth and very nice. I’m not sure what they are used in, but remember, the small and precise ‘skateboard’ bearings that the printers use are only a dollar or two each and they are more fiddly to make.
The large bearing means no wobble, even with a significant weight, scanning in stone/concrete statutes/figurines is quite common.
The good about the scanner is that is open. Thus, anyone can change the bearing or whatever they want. That’s open source!
