If locking it up works better for you, go for it.
The forums are ok, but quasi-realtime social networking is much more convenient. I like this community, I find the stuff I need much faster, and there seem to be more responses.
+Peter van der Walt I really agree with you… Not only dating spams, lot of guys just upload their FB pics, some social service messages… Sometimes we just laugh at those posts… Fortunately, now 99% of porn related spams are filtered (1% is still there)… Thanks for the team…
