Everything works - but just up to LED #15. If you take a 1m stripe you should see lights all along (it then just not correctly arranged). In my code it end with LED 15 …
@Jason_Coon very cool! what did use for the diffusion?
Thanks! It’s a thin, flexible frosted plastic sheet from a local craft shop. I cut it into a long strip and rolled it into a tube a few layers thick. It worked better than I expected.
Hey Jason…, im loving this project. especially the effect of the message torch. Firstly thanks for sharing, im looking at putting one together using the teensy 3.2, with remote, the wifi isnt that important. I read you went from a 3 inch tube to 2.5 tube for wrapping the led strip around. ive managed to find a tube at 2.5 inch and i can not get the leds To line up. The last led is in the middle - can i ask how many leds you had per loop before it started again ? also totally off the topic, amazed with smartmatrix and Aurora, it still sits nicely on my desk. after seeing your 64x64 matrix i also run one of them, running the smartmatrix animated gif example. which looks amazing. due to the low memory of the 3.2 running aurora fully with the gifs is a no go. Now that fastled supports teensy 3.5, is there any move towards updating Aurora to support it too ? .
