How does your z axis respond, day going from z0 to z10 manually

@Mark_Leino Z-axis appears to be fine, still noisy but not like the other steppers.

Update: After speaking to Spark Concepts (Mike) he asked me to change from “low decay” to “fast decay” and the motors are now running very smooth… albeit with some noise (whine sound) coming from the steppers.

I am investigating mixed mode decay with Mike’s help.

Keep in mind that you loose considerable torque as your step size decreases. Going beyond 1/8 step, depending on stepper drivers / voltages / and and other considerations, you will see little advantage and likely an increase in missed steppes.
