Two of my tires are now fully printed,

@denix I’m not totally sure what a “direct-drive” is, but from what I saw on some googling it looks like a spring-loaded extruder, wich is not good for flexible filaments. You need to be able to adjust the pressure on the filament manually (flexible filament needs much more pressure than “hard filaments” as PLA and ABS

Sorry, I thought that mod was for bowden extruders that are far away from the printhead. Looking closer at the video I see that is not the case and the extruder sits on top of the printhead, which is what I was asking…

Any new tests with the ninja with more luck @Joshua_Updyke ?
I’ve made a test print early this morning with new settings which looked very good, so I’m hopeful. Reporting back in a few hours.
Did you print one or two tyres at once?

@David_Baron I have tried the NinjaFlex again yet. I printed all the parts for the new extruder but am waiting on some nuts and bolts to arrive. Also, since this is my works printer other people are printing things and I don’t want to tear it apart quite yet. Hopefully the parts will get here early next week and I can swap out the extruder and try printing some more NinjaFlex.

Cool, my 3rd deck is printing, don about 60% now (a few hours left). I think I’ve found proper settings, I’ll update the print settings when it’s done printing
