Was wondering why most people dont use lead screws for the Z axis.

Unfortunately, all of that information is wrong. @Josef_Prusa added that section of the page based on his misunderstanding of my writings on the subject.

The fact is that ANY non-metric pitch will result in rounding errors because numbers like 3200/2.54 can’t be stored in a floating-point variable without rounding.

Could you link me to what you wrote on the topic, i’d like to read more about it. One my two printers that have acme, only one gives me problems with the Z and it has been due to bent rods. Considering the resolution of FDM I would not be surprised if you could suppress the rounding error below the printing resolution threshold. I will say that if you can buy metric rods that does make like a whole lot easier.
