:  We've tried Silicone Spray, WD-40, White Lithium Grease, Dupont Teflon Non-Stick Dry-Film Lubricant.

The best adhesive remover is my propane torch! Nothing beats that, not even the surface that it’s attached too…

@Eugenio_Villaverde It has it’s own wiki page…

It is the duct tape of spray bombs. It uses a non volatile, extremely low viscosity (thin) oil. Which is why it sucks as a lubricant. Plus it will wash out any thicker lubricants, which makes it doubly bad as a lubricant…

But I, like a lot of people, buy it by the gallon. Used mostly for cooling drill bits and tapping screw threads…

I use sewing machine oil, seems to work really well, but I don’t know anything about the formulation.

Bruce lunde i used too! Sometimes!

My shop oil of choice is chainsaw bar lube. If it can stick to a chainsaw blade it can stick to just about anything. Plus I can pick up bar lube in convenient quart bottles. Although for spot applications I dip a fine brush in a little glass jar. Chainsaw oil is an excellent way oil for machinery due to its adhesive nature.

@Paul_Frederick will motorcycle chain lube work? I have 2 types, one very fluid and another one that is like white paint very sticky…

T2

@Mike_Thornbury Do you mean like “musician valve oil”?

@Pulpo_Del_Mar
I do not know. I need to use really sticky oil on the ways of my milling machine. Vactra is too much of a pain for me to buy locally too.

No, sorry - mistype. I meant to say TF2

Picked up some LPS 2 Heavy Duty Lubricant today. Was using wd-40. I’m liking this LPS2.
