If you are looking for a kit Prusa i3 Steel, here is one possible option, for less than USD$400, but without shipping costs:

I could only find the cheap acrylic framed Prusa on AliExpress, at just over 1/2 the price of the Steel version above.

I am not specifically endorsing either http://repparts3d.com, or the Prusa i3 Steel, since I haven’t ordered from them, nor do I own that printer, I am merely pointing out things you might like to investigate for yourself. Caveat Emptor, as per usual.
