Which controller is among the best in the price range 200$/140£ in the EU?

@Off-grid_Denmark SmoothStepper and Smoothieboard are two completely different things, and I have no affiliation with SmoothStepper or with Warp9td.
I created the Smoothieboard though.

@Arthur_Wolf , my bad, i read that wrong. :slight_smile:

@Arthur_Wolf , can Smoothieboard be used with Mach3 and/or Vectric’s software packages?

@Off-grid_Denmark I never tried but yes I hear you can use Smoothie with Mach3. I’m not sure what the use would be there though …
About Vetric, Smoothie should be compatible with pretty much any CAM package.

@Arthur_Wolf would love to see an option without onboard drivers. Saw someone testing a mini board of yours without drivers that looked interesting

@Jarrid_Kerns you can run external drivers with the Smoothieboards, all the pins to do so are broken out and clearly labelled.

@Mike_Thornbury agreed, I brought up your board first above and mentioned that. However, for those who already have drivers or need bigger drivers, I just thought the mini board was a nice idea.

Sorry, I misunderstood.

The motor drive link certainly has some interesting information on it.

Yep, check this thread too;

@Marcos_Duque_Cesar
Thanks for the link. It is very entertaining.

$200 for a connector… vs 85 Euro for a complete working board, with drivers and all connectors. Makes sense…

What’s wrong with you, Mike?
You are very aggressive dude…you need to be more diplomatic.

@Marcos_Duque_Cesar
What is wrong with being aggressive? Some folks are just not into kissing ass to forward their agenda, you know?

I just try to be diplomatic, I get things more easily being like that ツ

Wuhu. I’m getting some popcorn and a coke. A fight thread. :smiley:

@Marcos_Duque_Cesar
Nothing worthwhile in life ever comes easily.

I use the GenY32. Seems ok. Has both usb and parallel port, which was important to me.

the smooth stepper board are incredible, amazing board, control my servos (6 axis) really i love this board ( the ethernet its more confortable i put my pc at 6 meters of the board, with usb only recomended 3 meters max!
peace and Cnc!
