We need better moderation tools - what we have now might be fine for a 1000-member community, but is simply not adequate for one with 250.000 members - many of which are surely “sleeper” spam profiles.
Still - thanks for reporting, that’s the best way you can help keep this and other communities clean.

Haha I’m trying to resurrect my M3D micro printer. It is all trial and error with this printer. So much for being marketed as “consumer product”…
I’m annoyed when I check at one hour and have thirty spam posts and then the next hour have ten more. You’d almost think that other mods aren’t doing anything, but the reality is that there’s so much that it becomes absolutely ridiculous to keep up. I mean I’ve seen posts where one person posts in ever category all within the same second.
It certainly doesn’t help either that it is almost impossible to effectively process the queue on mobile (where it entwines the regular with the reported posts and makes banning the profile extra complicated).
But I seriously don’t expect @Google ​​ to even care (“we want to focus on community building” - yeah, sure) considering how often I’ve already written feedback tickets on the quality of the available moderation tools and there’s been no improvement for a community at this dimension at all.
I am working on banning some now.
I have to roll back on one statement, apparently with the latest update to the app, screening the moderation queue on mobile isn’t as horrible of an experience anymore (well… apart from the contents)
I prefer to moderate over tablet. I can go on the profile, report nudity, report spam, report fake profile and then go back to the post and ban+remove. I hate that g+ does not set off an alarm when a person posts the same thing to 10 places in 10 minutes though. Most spam is done that quickly.
It looks like when you ban and remove one post, another by that poster becomes visible for a moment.
Thing is, it should be one click to remove, report and ban spam posts/posters, in bulk. Not “Click on the post, ban author, hit back, click on the next post…”. It’s a bit better on the desktop (“ban & report, ban & report”), but it still sucks. Also, despite what @Google wrote in their recent update, my G+ app version 7.3.0 still doesn’t have a “moderation queue all in one place”.
You can ban+remove+report on tablets. I am just nuts and like reporting their profiles too. I feel it may help other communities and g+.
I vote swipe post to the left or right to report spam + ban
I’m not seeing anything to test this out with right now in the queue (I’m also sometimes not so sure if we all have the same tbh), but last time I did moderation on the tablet it was as cumbersome as on the phone, allowing me to remove and report one post in the queue with one click, but not also banning the author from the community as well.
Also, there really should be some more intelligence there or at least bulk removal, if there are ten reported posts to ten categories of the same author within seconds of the same case of sexual explicit content, I guess if I do the remove-report-ban thing for one of those means I don’t want to keep the other posts either… Give me checkboxes @Google ​, that’s all that I’m asking for at this point here really whimpers
