1st test print. Came out kinda rough. 210 temp on the extruder, 55 bed temp. Prusa i3 pro b. Any suggestions to get it smoother?
you need to level the bed and set the z endstop correctly.
what slicer are you using?
Yeah that first layer definitely isn’t down low enough.
Top layer and level the beed. Right side in first photo is more down that left side
100 temp to bed and 220-230 to extruder in abs
I’m no expert, but in my printer 210C nozzle temp caused no end of problems PLA, if that is what you are using? My prusa works well at just 190. Any higher and heat creeps up the feed tube melting the filament where you don’t want it to happen. It totally plugged the machine but it also seem to cause irregular flow rates. I also got a finish similar to yours because the Z stop position changed overnight. Presumably because the ambient temp in the room had changed by a degree or two. I was quite surprised by just how much it had changed. Try to get the zero point set closer to the bed. Good luck!
@Nathan_Walkner Yes, that’s true. Still on my first ever roll so no experience yet.
If you are using slic3r take a look at this video https://youtu.be/o8yxXEjDyPU my prints went from not good to very great when I followed his instructions.
@Nathan_Walkner yes its pla. Whats a good temp to set the bed in this case?
@Pablo_Martinez_Barbo ok. Thanks. I’ll try it and post results later
@Stephanie_A using slic3er
@Nathan_Walkner So are u saying to put tape or glue on the bed?
@Nathan_Walkner glue stick before each print?
