2-D pixel installation
2-D light installation that I did for a party this past weekend. 200 pixels of WS2811, Arduino Nano. Backdrop is solid silver fabric with sequins sewn on, front diffuser is a transparent loose weave synthetic fabric. Total lit area is about 2 meters by 2 meters. Code is derived from the 2-D XY Matrix sample code I posted here: https://plus.google.com/112916219338292742137/posts/Xg76A57iXV6
Nice looking effects.
Thanks. It’s a bigger, slower version of the code I linked above, with a little bit more mindful color choices; I don’t like the way green LED light looks when it reflects off people. So for parties and stage shows, etc., I prefer to stick to the hue range from blue to purple to pink to red to orange to yellow. No plain green.
that is gorgeous!
Thanks! It’s not swimmable, but I do what I can.
(And I’d love to help out with code for Glimmer’s tail, if the opportunity ever arises!)
I will take you up on that. I promise.
