Thanks sharing your project. Did you need to upgrade your stepper motors to handle the new size? Also not fully understanding the reinforcement. Di you add something to to tracks to stiffen it up?

hi;
the motors have been upgraded to nema 23 for X and Y axis
for the reinforcement both x and y axis use straight edge aluminium (http://www.concretetool.co.uk/handtools/pics/StraightEdge.jpg)

for the X axis :
rails are on both side :

and bolted together ( img2)

for y axis only in the inside of the work area / those are also use as protection for the rails (img 3) bolted to the rail AND the work surface

i probably have some more pictures of the cnc while working on it
