I don’t suppose you have the STL files for this somewhere?
@Chuck_McManis they have only me. this is my original work. series of toys.
@Sergey_3dpicasso_Kol
cool, I ask because I’ve been trying to test the detail capability of my printer and this would be a good test. I would also be interested in the support system you used and the number of pieces. It looks like the arms are articulated at the elbows correct?
One of the questions I’m working through is detail on the side versus detail on the top or bottom of a print. Generally prints are flat on the bottom (better sticking) but I could see doing two “halves” and then gluing them together. So I’m curious about your technique here.
@Chuck_McManis I find it hard to explain in English. there is almost no supports. vertical printing
@Sergey_3dpicasso_Kol
How about a picture of one on the build platform just before you take it off ? I’ll try my detail test vertically and see what I get on that.
@Chuck_McManis i send you a sheme
Can you share the files for this, please? I would love to print one for my son.
@Jesper_Krog_Poulsen sorry no
why are you sharing images of your hard work then? If you want people to see it you share the files and people print it out and show it off and more people see it. You are missing the whole point of 3D printing.
@Ben_Norris is a limited series of my toys. I’m not going to distribute them for free … you funny worldview - you work for free at work? How do you earn on food? from where you take the money? print it on a 3D printer?
@Sergey_3dpicasso_Kol and yet you are happy to share pictures of it for free without charge? Why did you do that if you don’t want anyone to see it?
@Ben_Norris you are very funny
… turn their logic sometimes… I draw attention to myself, and my work …
At the risk of devolving into something pointless, @Sergey_3dpicasso_Kol I think it is great you are creating value out of your printer, there is a credibility gap though. Your prints look injection molded, which is really cool since most people think injection molding makes “better” parts than 3D printing does, so there is a lot of curiosity about your technique. If you are modelling yourself on the painter Picasso you would know that Pablo was happy to share his techniques with students so that they could create their own artworks in a similar style. I would love to would love to know how you print something with overhangs and interior gaps on your printer, I have absolutely no interest in printing copies of your toy models, I’ve got ideas of my own to print. But since your model shows more detail than I’m used to seeing in something that isn’t $20,000 I would love to know how to emulate your success in my own models.
If you don’t want to teach others then why are you here?
@Chuck_McManis I show the possibility of Ultimaker-2 3D printer. What can you do if you have a creative mind and hands grow. where necessary. I show their works- seeking audience and attention. I can teach, but do not distribute the source code works. I spend my time and effort to develop them. Any artist sell pictures
I can tell you there is no secret technique only logic. qualitatively customized grid 3d printer you want to calibrate. you need just the right place the pieces for their 3D printing
