3D-FPV, 3D-Printed Truggy - Just wanted to share a couple of pics of my OpenRC Truggy with some nifty extras.
What the 3d camera? BlackBird 2?
i like that skeleton base for camera ,can you share it? Do you have metal differential. It is really nice
@Alex_R No, its from skyzone. Came with my FPV goggles I picked up for a micro quad I built.
@PANTELIS_k Thanks! I will put the roll cage (and any other custom or modded parts) on thingiverse at some point soon. The roll cage though is not the best design for 3D printing. I’m looking at a redesign to make it easier to print. All my gears are printed in Nylon 910 from Taulman. I’ve made some mods, including a locked center diff and others, to increase reliability. Still not perfect but getting there.
Dude I’m loving the look of that! How’s the durability though?
@TeamDogoman_Rc Thanks man. I printed equally in taulman 910 and t-glase. Anything 910 is super tough and works well, including for drive train components. Some parts like the axle shaft may need to be in PC but I’ve only had one fail so far. T-glase is strong, but it will shatter if I crash into anything. I’ve already shattered a from control arm and bumper. So I’ve been replacing those with 910 or Bridge nylon, or even PCTPE, also from Taulman. The PCTPE is super tough, a bit flexible, perfect for bumpers. I did the roll cage in PC, haven’t really tested it yet though. It’s not the best design for 3D printing or strength, so a redesign is in order.
Wow, impressive! Well done!
@Herman_Post Thanks.
