3D printed Tire Adapters for OpenRC F1 as promised. I will share my design on Thingiverse when I get a chance.
Awesome! Whats the grip like?
which tires did you use?
@Daniel_Noree I can pretty much turn at full speed without under-steering on pavement. I used the medium compound so I would assume the soft or super-soft would be even more grip.
Once I get the design posted I might need your help actually. To make the front tires fit I had to narrow down the front wheels by 6mm since the real front tires are narrower. I did this by setting the slicer to cut 6mm off of the bottom of your .stl file. If you could make the front wheel 6mm narrower the build would be more straightforward.

@Ryan_Hoagland cool. so they are about the size of the f104 tires that I used on my build
@brett_turnage They are slightly larger diameter but not enough that it’s a problem. They also give you some shock absorption because they are a lot softer than the printed ones.
it’s says yours are 62mm diameter vs. f104 which are 63mm, but that’s negligible. I know that the f103 uses smaller diameter tires of 55mm. Did you use superglue to glue the tires to the rims? and are you going to post any driving vids soon?
@brett_turnage I mis-read your question. They are slightly larger than the printed tires that are on Thingiverse. They should be very close to your f104 tires.
My design is now posted on Thingiverse.
Enjoy!
