Since when does a part have to be not manufacturable in some other technique in order to be worthy of 3D printing? I know there are dubious uses of 3D printing, but I’m not seeing a problem in this example.

If anything enabled this tool it would be the Arduino. That frame could be done with a jig saw and plywood faster then it could be printed.
