4:1 pulley drive for 100 micron accuracy on shapeoko ; MDF prototypes worked great time for the real deal… Aluminum plates and PLA body.

@Timothy_Foreman The pulleys and belts I got from http://www.sdp-si.com and the ball bearing from eBay. These are the part numbers:
60T pulley: A 6A51M060DF0606
20T pulley: A 6A51M020DF0606
15T pulley: A 6D51M015DF0605
90T belt: A 6R51M090060
Bearing: F626Z

Did you need to make any changes in the controller for the increased accuracy?

@ThatDamnGuy No changes to controller other then settings, in tinyg with no pulley reduction drive and using the 20t pulley the settings are 40mm per revolution, with 4:1 that is 10mm per revolution… so every 400 steps or 800 if doing 2x micro-stepping is 10mm of travel.
