So I ordered the Smoothieboard with GLCD and adapter and it comes with a 5V regulator. I don’t have a separate 5V power supply so was planning on use the regulator supplied.
Logic suggests that soldering it to the appropriate slot to the Smoothieboard itself, the LCD will also be supplied with 5V?

You need to attach a 0.5A vreg to the smoothieboard if you want it to power it, a 0.5A vreg to the panel if you want it to power it, or a 1.0A vreg to the smoohieboard if you want it to power both the smoothieboard and the panel.
