looks like your Aussie :), Used to use that sort of caulking in Australia all the time, those tips would of been handy, sadly they don’t make removable ends in Canada. Do miss those tubes.

@Jeff_Dewe  Yep, I’m an Aussie!

It’s a bit sad that you can’t get tubes with removable tips in Canada, and quite surprising to me.

I thought that we had to put up with the worst and least flexible options here in the antipodes. I guess we are just lucky in this one instance.

I am also guessing that this means that North Americans in general have no idea why I would even go to the trouble making this kit in the first place… oh well!

Maybe… just maybe… the concept of caulking tubes with screw ends and replaceable tips will catch on over there just like it has here in Australia.

Anyway, All the best mate.

@Nathan_Walkner possibly with a few dabs of superglue (cyanoacrylate) a thread could be 3d printed and attached?

I liked the Aussie ones so much better, I bought some silicone here and used it once, covered the tip with some painters tape , went to use it a few months later, it was clogged, I tried using the wire cleaner and that didn’t work, so I cut the nozzle larger so I could clean it and then it just spews out way too much. Man I hate these tubes, the manufactures must love it, you have to buy extra’s for your extra’s. lol

Yes Nathan I do that also, works great on acrylic caulkings, silicone can dry the whole length after a few months.

great, have some caulking to do next weekend, now that spring is finally here - this will definitely help, a big thanks!

A request:

Could somebody from North America please grab their calipers and measure the diameter of the standard caulking nozzle sold over there?

I would like to add a little piece to this kit that can be glued onto the smooth nozzle and present a screw thread that allows this kit to be useful for those caulking tubes as well.

Many thanks in anticipation.

Its cone shaped like the Aussie one, 15.38mm is the max, and 71mm is the length.

@Jeff_Dewe Thanks mate, I’ll have a hack at it tomorrow and upload the result youmagine.
