A little fun with 400 WS2811s, a D1 mini, teensy and two msgeq7s. A quick sand dirty build but quite effective…
I assume the teensy is running FastLED and is connected to the MSGEQ7s. Is the D1 mini sending commands to the teensy from a phone app or web browser?
@Garrett_Durland , spot on. Sorry I was in the pub and my phone went flat…
Nice lights. But the guitarist in the foreground looks bored rigid! Zero interaction between the band members. Even the Stones - who often look bored to tears of playing their own stuff - at least pretend to like each other, even if they’re indifferent to the audience. Just saying. Good job with the lights though.
@Jeremy_Spencer what gave me a chuckle was the crappy (i’m assuming its a turbo sound) limit meter (upper left of shot) is pegged on red
Those things are a pain in the ass.
I think I’m going to print some spacers so that it looks like a 16 x 25 matrix. Then I can do much better patterns with it
@Jeremy_Spencer you can buy “egg crate” by the sheet. Seems to be used for building coral in aquariums. But has a decent pixel pitch. Have a search on eBay.
Thanks @Stuart_Taylor , I need it to be portable and easily dismantled as the LEDs are for my deck. So I’ll just print some diamonds, then the display will roll up for transportation
Code and wiring please!!!
