A quick message to the mods, as I find no simple way of sending a direct message?
Just posted a screenshot from a facebook page of a shop that sells some of my printed items, but it seems like it got deleted?
It was not at all intented as an ad, and I’m sorry if it came across as that. It would have been a terrible one anyway as it is a physical store in the Faroe Islands, so a bit out of way for most of you I guess.
I just wanted to share some experiences with selling 3D printed items, as people asked for an update last time.
But of course, it’s your call if you accept posts like that.
I’m not sure if a mod did delete it, although the screenshot of the fb post was probably what got it flagged. I would like to hear about your experience selling items though. Can you post about it on a blog site, or even in a post here?
Hate fakebook links and posts on G+.
Use a real website.
@Justin_Nesselrotte Sure, I’ll do a write up when I know how it goes money wise. Just a bit excited to see some of my items in a somewhat (for the area) high end souvenir shop, so I wanted to share.
The items are “Home” signs in Faroese, made with an openscad script that read DXF files from inkscape. Some are printed single shelled and filled with concrete, others are printed have “manual” hex infill. There is a picture of one in the slideshow on my webpage (not in english) http://hertel.fo/index.php/3D
For each sold I’d make about €15-25/h in print time before tax, which is okay for a mass produced item. Hoping the sales of these standard ones can spark interest for custom ones which I can make twice the money with.
@Patrick_McMicken Sure, I don’t like facebook much. Actually joined for the first time last week since I needed it for my business.
That said, it was a screenshot and not a facebook link.
I’ll do a write up at a later time and post it on my blog or something.

I don’t know about the original post, but be sure to write a description when you post a picture.
