A riveter came in handy when I had to replace covers (lexan, plexiglass, sheet metal) of my repurposed PC enclosure for a controller box. Convenient, effective and easy to use. Ironic because I used to hate seeing rivets (not being able to unscrew them). Secures pieces cheaply and easily. BTW thanks to Mike for helping me figure out a way to solder the wires on the aviation connectors without having to thread those confounded holes. It worked great for one side of the connectors; however, I still had issues with the back side. We’ll see how well they hold up. They look a lot better. I also was able to mount some of the components on the sides of the enclosure to create space. It allowed me to mount Drivers for two additional motors if/when I add additional axes to the machine. I plan to photograph it when I get it completed, if anyone wants to see it. It’s not stylish or attractive, but I’m hoping it will get the job done.
You’ve shared so much already. We would enjoy seeing the rest of your setup.
Pop rivets certainly have their place and uses.
Can you push the pins out the back to solder them @George_Allen ?
Rivets are great
@Mike_Thornbury I did finally get the aviation connectors to work. And they are functioning well.
