A video I ran across that wasn’t directly targeted toward 3D printing, but was an interesting take none the less. This guy has a white, ABS puzzle cube, and uses a mixture of acetone and water in order to dye it black.

For those that are frugal, this might be an awesome way to get multiple colors printed for just simply the price of white ABS and different colors of RIT dye.

I used this video as inspiration for Taulman Bridge sans the acetone.

The water soluble wood dyes you can get at Woodcraft or like stores can work nicely as well. Guy I met at Stratasys would air brush it on and get neat gradients too. It worked on polyacrylate parts too.

Watching this, the only thing that comes to mind is "Did he really just pour acetone down the sink?
