A wee fun project i made using a broken lamp and some leftover small bits of ws2812b pixel strips. I couldn’t decide if i wanted to use those pixel modules on a string and shove loads in facing outwards (easier!) or this but i’m glad i did it this way as i like the fact you can adjust the ‘focus’ of the light as well as the colours.

Really nicely done, and I especially like the variable “focus” you’ve invented there. Cool effect based on the the physical shape of the shade and the pixel layout.

What are you using for power?

It’s got a wee DC socket on the end of the wires to attach to whichever 5v supply i have handy, If i was making another i’d probably just put a socket in the base itself. That might not be so easy though; the hardest part was cutting down the counterweight and they’re not just concrete, there were chunks of flint in my one! had to use a tile drill and hacksaw combo to hack off bits.

Wow excellent work unique …nice !
If you can let me know what software using for work/programming.

This is a teensy 2.0 running software I wrote for it in the arduino IDE, and using fastLed as the LED control library (of course!)

@devicer Thank you idea and your work is impressive…
